Reviews

What players & parents say.

★★★★★
"Honestly didn't expect results this fast. My son went from barely touching the ball in games to being one of the more confident kids on his team. He actually wants to go to practice now, which says everything."
Daniela R.Parent of a U13 player · Vaughan
★★★★★
"Trained all summer before tryouts and made the high school team for the first time. Coach didn't let me slack but always broke things down so I understood why. My handle and my finishing are both way better."
Marcus T.Grade 10 player · Woodbridge
★★★★★
"I was nervous coming in, honestly. Out of shape, hadn't played in years. But the sessions just met me where I was. Six weeks later I'm back playing pickup and actually enjoying it."
Kevin A.Adult player · Maple
★★★★★
"She goes with two of her friends and the dynamic is great. They push each other, they're having fun, and she actually asks to go. For the price, I haven't found anything close in value."

FAQ

Questions, answered.

For parents and players. Don't see your question? Just ask.

How long is a training session?

Every URAZ HOOPS session is one full hour: 60 minutes of focused, coached work from warm-up to finish. That goes for 1-on-1 sessions, small groups, and big groups alike.

What ages do you train?

Youth training starts at age 5. I also coach teens and adults, including beginners. Sessions are adapted to the player’s age, experience and readiness. Scheduled groups have their own age ranges, listed with each session.

My child has never played before. Is that okay?

Yes. I work with beginners from age 5, starting with fundamentals and adapting the pace to the player. Tell me their age and experience so we can discuss a suitable first session.

Where do sessions take place?

Indoor sessions run at courts in Vaughan year-round. Outdoor sessions run at parks and courts across Vaughan and the GTA during the warmer months. I can also train at a court near you when there's a safe, suitable setup for basketball, or help you find a convenient spot close by. I’ll confirm the exact location when you book.

What should my player bring to a session?

Basketball shoes, athletic clothing, and a water bottle. I bring the basketballs and training equipment. For outdoor sessions, dress for the weather.

Can parents watch the sessions?

Yes, parents are always welcome to watch. I want you to see exactly how your player trains and the progress they're making.

How do group sessions work? Can I bring friends?

Bring friends or teammates, view upcoming sessions, or ask about groups for your player’s age and experience. Group options depend on availability; I’ll help you find a suitable fit before confirming.

How often should a player train?

One or two sessions a week is a useful starting point. I’ll help you choose a schedule around the player’s goals, team practices and time to practise between sessions.

How do I book and pay?

Send a training inquiry or email urazhoops@gmail.com. I’ll reply within 24 hours to discuss a time and location. Your session is confirmed once the arrangements are agreed. Pay by cash or e-transfer; this website does not collect payment.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancel or reschedule a confirmed session at least 24 hours before the start time at no charge. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged the session fee. If there is an illness or emergency, contact us as soon as possible so we can discuss the circumstances. Read the cancellation and weather policy.

What happens in bad weather?

If the coach cancels because an outdoor court or travel conditions are unsafe, you can reschedule or receive a refund for that cancelled session if you have already paid. I’ll contact you as early as possible. Read the full policy.
